Sending Japanese Children Overseers

At least twice a year Labo sends groups of students for homestays, study, and camping experiences somewhere in the world. These educational programs can affect a child's entire life.

The Japanese families entrust Labo with the welfare of their precious children -- some as young as 12 years old, and Labo takes this responsibilty very seriously. Hallmarks of Labo's exchange programs include:

  • Thorough orientation,
  • Proper planning,
  • Responsible chaperoning,
  • Good communications throughout the exchange, and a
  • Meaningful debriefing program

Savings Plan

One unique aspect of Labo's exchange programs is a savings plan for Labo members. From the time children are very young, families can deposit a little bit of money each month... and when their child is older they will have saved enough for participation in one of Labo's exchange programs. This planning ahead is symbolic of Labo's exchange philosophy.
